Equiniti ICS delivers secure and cost effective EDRMS to Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation

Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation has enlisted the services of leading IT solutions provider Equiniti ICS to deliver an Electronic Document Record Management (EDRM) solution which is set to realise substantial time and cost savings due to improved efficiencies, as well as securing full compliance with the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.

The new EDRM system will allow the Corporation to improve access to more accurate records, enabling it to track and communicate information across departments more easily and also work towards achieving the ISO 27001 security standard. Thurrock Corporation and Equiniti ICS created a strong partnership to improve the Corporation's ICT infrastructure and build upon the current systems to help increase the transparency, consistency and auditability of records.

The Corporation's decision to invest in a new system formed an integral part of its overall ICT strategy to improve compliance, efficiency and staff productivity. Jason Oliver, Chief Information Officer for TTGDC explained: "In line with our drive for increased efficiencies we embarked on a tender process to find a system that could deliver a wide range of capabilities and help us to achieve the ISO 27001 standard. We have chosen Equiniti ICS as our service provider based on their extensive experience in delivering similar EDRM systems into the Public Sector. In partnership with Equiniti ICS, we are adopting a phased approach to this EDRM system installation to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.
