Campus Oil Implement Perito™ Accounts from ICS Computing to Drive Growth

9th February 2007

Campus Oil, one of the fastest growing distributors and importers of oil in Ireland awarded ICS the contract to provide a fully integrated financial accounts solution managed and hosted in the ICS Computer Centre. The new system means that Campus Oil now has access to state of the art software to drive company growth and improve the level of customer service. This investment reflects the company's commitment to harnessing the very latest in technology in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations in Ireland.

According to Jim Fitzgerald, Managing Director of Campus Oil, "We used a professional consultancy to evaluate the market for systems that would match our complex requirements. ICS Computing was one of the only companies that could offer us a truly future proof solution. With their innovation, expertise and commitment to the fuel sector, we can be confident of continuity over the long-term. We implemented the Perito™ accounting solution to deal with our complex corporate structure, with the option to implement their fully integrated Perito™ in-cab mobile solution in the near future, which should further improve our competitiveness and service levels."

He continued, "Campus has gone through a number of high profile acquisitions. We recognised the inadequacies of the incompatible systems and reporting structures inherited from previous businesses. Our existing systems did not provide us with the management information we required to be forward thinking in a highly competitive market environment. The Perito™ accounting software from ICS is already providing us with a coherent procedural and financial structure that allows Campus to expand and grow its distribution network, painlessly. This solution has enabled us to become leaner, more efficient and more responsive to both customer and market trends."

"We now have a system that links our 13 locations together, growing with us whilst driving efficiencies, reducing overheads and adding value to the management process, through the supply of accurate, relevant and timely information. The fact is, in this highly competitive market, the key issue for business is margin visibility, so accounting and reporting systems must be capable of handling and analysing complex transfer pricing, rebates and discounting regimes, whilst preserving strong financial controls."

Campus Oil, part of the Stafford Group, operates in a number of sectors including Agricultural, Commercial, Domestic and Marine. With over 90 staff, 55 trucks and supplying half a billion litres of oil to their customers every year, Campus is one of the fastest growing oil importers and distributors in Ireland.
