Equiniti wins BT Employee Share Plan Business

Equiniti today announces a major high profile contract win with BT, to deliver the full suite of its employee share plan services, following a lengthy tender process against the incumbents Computershare (through their recently acquired HBOS business).

Equiniti already has a long standing relationship with BT through its share registration service and BT’s decision to consolidate this by awarding Equiniti its employee share plan contract secures Equiniti’s position as a major player in the employee share plan market in the UK.

Equiniti will be managing BT's UK and International employee plans including SAYE and SIP; with over 100,000 UK and 10,000 international employees in various schemes. Equiniti will be working closely with BT to enhance its online services, allowing employees to view all of their ESP information securely online and where they can apply, exercise and sell, cancel and amend instructions and view a real time dealing facility.
